Translocation

A religious building is transferred from one place to another.

Translocation is the process of replacing a building. This entails the deconstruction of the building at its original place and its reassembling at a new location, which is possible with wooden constructions. It can also mean that the whole building inlcuding the foundations is translocated. How detailed the reconstruction is, is dependent on the specific situation. Many translocations are the result of political decision making.
